Heritage Days are full day shoots held on Cheylesmore, that are designated for members (individual or affiliated clubs) who possess Historic Cartridge Pistols, held under Section 7(3) of the Firearms Act (for the purpose of research and study).
From 2026, these sessions will be split into 2 half day events. Members will be able to attend the AM (08:30-12:30) / PM (13:30-16:30*) session or both.
*Please note the PM session finishes at 16:00 during low season.
If members choose to book both sessions, they will have access to the classroom during the lunchtime stoppage. Each member is responsible for the security of their box during this period, ensuring the box is secured via padlock at all times when not in use.
Competition is not allowed by the Act but this is a valuable part of Historic shooting and collecting, and has been supported by the NRA since its inception.
There are a number of Heritage Pistol sites and Bisley is one of them. Those that store S7(3) pistols with us are permitted to attend one of the below dates on Cheylesmore range. These dates permit individuals to come and fire their S7(3) pistols with the whole event being under the control of an appointed RO.
